What’s your online video strategy?
I recently read an article asking what’s online video strategy. Here are some of the questions they asked and I thought I would expand on them.
Questions to ask when getting ready to produce an online video:
What do you want to do?
Drive sale? Generate leads? Promote brand? Have a clear goal of what you want to get out of your video.
Who is it for?
New Customers? Old Customers? Vendors? Have your audience in mind when you start, don’t give vendors unneeded marketing information and don’t over sell exciting customers.
How are you going to reach them?
Social media? TV? Blog? Website? Know your audience don’t just put the a new video on your website and hope customers will find it, place in venues where they will see it.
What technologies do you need?
Goal Tracking? Analytics? 800#? Make sure your make your goals; use the right technology do that can see your success.
What are you trying to achieve?
Sale? Leads? Have a goal, 10,000 views isn’t a very good one if your not making any ROI.
How much do you have to spend?
Production cost is one thing, but don’t forget to make a budget for promoting your video. PPC, Media Buy or social network ad promotion well get your message in front of right people.
How are you going to measure its success?
Again Have a Goal and Track it, so that your not wasting time and money.
